What happened to the old BrainKing?

You may remember that nine years ago (January 2017) I announced the end of official support for BrainKing and did not rule out the possibility of shutting down the server itself. After a long period of soul-searching and weighing all the pros and cons, I have reached a final decision. The operation of BrainKing in its original form was terminated on December 31, 2026.

I believe there are still people here whom this news will not please and who will want to know more details. That is why I have written a longer version of this statement on a separate page, which I will keep updating with answers to any questions that may arise.
